Terms

How we quote, contract and get paid, in plain English. Your written contract is the document that binds us both; this page explains how it works. Last updated September 2026.

Proposals

Every proposal follows a site visit and gives you three priced options with one we'd recommend. Prices include GST. Variations are priced and agreed before the work is done, not on the final invoice. Proposals hold for 30 days.

The contract

When you accept an option we send a written contract that meets the NSW Home Building Act, with the scope, the price, the payment stages and the start window. Nothing is ordered until it's signed. Until Aspire Power Pty Ltd holds its own contractor licence, the contract for electrical work is with Marmont Electrical, which holds NSW Electrical Contractor Licence 470836C, carries out the work and issues the invoice.

Deposit and payment

The deposit is never more than 10% of the contract price. The balance is invoiced on the day the work is completed and is due within 7 days. Where a job runs over more than one stage, the contract sets out each progress payment before we start. Equipment stays ours until it's paid for.

Variations

If something we couldn't see at the site visit changes the job, we price the change and get your written okay before doing it. Variations are never a surprise on the final invoice.

On the day

We need safe access to the switchboard and the meter, and the power off for part of the day. We install to AS/NZS 3000, photograph the work, issue a certificate of compliance where one is required, and leave the site as we found it.

Timing

Some work needs the electricity network, such as a supply upgrade or a meter change, and their timing isn't ours. We give you a start window in the contract and tell you straight away if weather, supply or the network moves it.

Cancelling

Change your mind before we've ordered equipment and your deposit comes back in full. After that, we refund the deposit less what we can't recover from the supplier, and we show you the figure. Your rights under the Home Building Act and Australian Consumer Law sit above anything on this page.

Warranty

Our workmanship warranty and the manufacturers' warranties are set out on the Warranty page and in your handover pack. To claim, call Daniel.

If something goes wrong

Call us first; most things are fixed with a conversation. If we can't sort it between us, NSW Fair Trading handles building disputes. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales.
