Lighting
Lighting layouts for renovations and new builds, LED downlights, pendants and feature lighting, garden and path lighting, ceiling fans, and under-floor heating controls. A layout starts with how the room is used — where you read, where you cook, what the light should do at 7am and at 9pm — and the switching is planned so the everyday settings are one press, not four.
Smart home
Lights, fans, blinds and scenes on one system, on the wall and on your phone, with switches that still work like switches for everyone else in the house. We install Clipsal Wiser because it runs locally, survives the internet dropping out, and the parts are available in Australia when something needs swapping in ten years.
An honest note
Smart home is worth it when it removes switches you'd actually use or ties things together that should be together. If it just adds an app to something a switch did fine, we'll say so.
Questions people ask
Can you do the lighting design, or do we need a designer?
For most homes we do it: a marked-up plan per room, walked through with you before anything is roughed in. On architect-led builds we work from the lighting designer's plan and price it honestly.
Does smart home mean rewiring the house?
No. Wiser works with standard wiring; most homes convert switch by switch. It's easiest during a renovation, while the walls are open.
What about ceiling fans?
Supplied and installed, sized for the room, on the wall switch or on the smart system. If a room needs a fan more than it needs air conditioning, we'll say so.
